Mount St. Mary’s Seminary could not be the premier seminary it is without the support and generosity of our committed donors.
The seminarians and their dedicated faculty are the beneficiaries of your commitment to our mission and through that generosity, we continue the pursuit of excellence in all things.

... not a day goes by when I do not humbly thank God for the immense gift of the seminary, made possible by the sacrifice of the hardworking and generous people of God who provide for the seminarians.
Prayer to Our Lady of the Priesthood
Virgin Mary, Mother of Christ the Priest, Mother of the priests in all the world, you love priests very specially because they are the living images of your Only Son. You helped Jesus during all your earthly life, and you help him still in Heaven. We beg you: pray for priests! Pray to the Lord of Heaven that he will send workers to his vineyard. Pray that we might always have priests, who will give us the sacraments, who will explain to us the Gospel of Christ, and who will teach us to become true children of God. Virgin Mary, ask God the Father yourself for those priests of which we have such need; and since your heart has total power over him, obtain for us, O Mary, priests who will be saints! Amen!
The financial support that Mount St. Mary's Seminary receives from alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends is crucial to the growth and success of our priestly formation program. You can support the seminary through:

The Annual Fund is the Seminary's most important fundraiser, supporting our greatest needs, and providing the financial support that ensures our mission - to prepare men for their priestly formation. Gifts to the Annual Fund, no matter the amount, are critical to every facet of life at the seminary.
Our greatest need continues to be this fund that supports the annual budgeted operating expenses of the Seminary, as well as upkeep for the house facilities and grounds.
Our second greatest need is support for the annual Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, an integral part of formation which includes a required five-day canonical retreat. The cost of the program is approximately $5,000 per deacon. The Seminary provides $3,500, covering the cost of lodging, accommodations, meals and ground transportation. The deacons are required to pay $1,500 toward the cost of the pilgrimage.
Gifts to this fund provide financial assistance to seminarians with academic and personal expenses that they would not otherwise be able to afford.
This fund is used to support the overall Seminary mission and special projects at the discretion of the Rector.

The Seminary has been blessed with several established Endowments that support various programs for the Seminary. Contributions made to these endowments, listed below, provide long-term security and annual income for the seminary. Further information on these endowments or on how to establish an endowment is available upon request.
This endowment helps to fund new faculty positions and continuing education opportunities. It also provides important financial support for additional academic programs, workshops and spiritual retreats.
This endowment honors Archbishop Lori and provides financial support specifically for the Deacon Pilgrimage Program, an integral part of formation, which includes a required five-day canonical retreat.
The endowment honors the late Rector, Msgr. Roeltgen and supports the Pastoral Field Education Program, providing supervised work in Catholic parochial, educational, medical and social institutions.
This endowed scholars fund honors a great saint who was known for her love toward the poorest of the poor and who serves as a model of charity for seminarians. The fund supports the cost of tuition, room and board for seminarian(s) from the Archdiocese of Washington.
In honor of Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades, this endowment is to be used to help support the salary and benefits for a Professor in Systematic Theology.
